Obituary of Jessica Lee Rice

Jessica Lee Rice was born in Monroe, Michigan on September 21, 1994.   She was the daughter of the late Scottie Rice and the late Carolyn Moore.   Jessica had attended Monroe Public Schools.

Jessica was a beautiful, young woman.   She was very blessed to be a homemaker and mother to her son:  Robert.   She cherished the time the two spent together.    Jessica had a heart of gold and love to share.   She was an awesome aunt to her nieces and nephews whom meant the world to her.  

Jessica was also known for her sweet tooth and love of snacking.   She enjoyed listening to music and liked to journal her daily experiences.   She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed joking around and smiling, and her smile had the ability to make others smile as well.   Her favorite signature line, which will be sadly missed, was that of “Hey sister”.

Jessica Lee Rice, age 25, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly in Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.   In addition to her parents:  Scottie Rice on January 26, 2013 and Carolyn Moore on January 26, 2011, her passing was preceded by a brother:  Brandon Keith Moore; and grandfather:  Gary Church on July 18, 2013.

To cherish her memory she leaves her son:  Robert Cromer; three sisters:  Crystal (Ryan) Miller of Monroe, DeLisa Rice of Monroe, and Amber (John) Rheinschmidt of Monroe; one brother:  Charles Moore of Tennessee; grandmother:  Pat Church of Monroe; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather from 3:30pm until 5:30pm until on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.  A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 5:30pm also at Merkle's with Pastor Roy Southerland officiating.
