Obituary of Veronica Evans

Veronica Evans was born on August 14, 1964 in Hattisburg, Mississippi.  She was born from the late Irvin Evans and the late Betty Black.   She graduated from Adrian High School with the Class of 1982.

Coming from a large family, Veronica appreciated the time she spent with each and every one of her siblings.   Later in life, she would be blessed with the birth of four children of her own, and she would care for their needs as a homemaker.   She especially enjoyed the company of her children and grandson.

Veronica was also fortunate to make many close friends.   She enjoyed socializing, playing cards, and bingo.   Although, she could be quite stubborn and set in her ways, she was an open book and not afraid to speak her mind.   Veronica had a great sense of humor, was a free-spirit, and was always full of energy.   She stayed active playing in women’s softball leagues.   She wasn’t afraid to have fun and enjoyed putting a smile on the face of those around her.   Veronica was down to earth, enjoying the simpler things in life, like walking in the park and sitting on the front porch.   When she had time for herself, Veronica loved to write poems and draw.   She enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and loved keeping up on Law and Order.

Veronica valued her faith and nurtured her relationship with Christ with regular worship attendance at the Oaks of Righteousness Christian Ministries Center in Monroe.
