Obituary of Lucy L. Terrell

Lucy L. Terrell age 97 of Monroe, Michigan passed away on October 30, 2019 at the Wellspring Lutheran Services in Monroe after a short illness.

Lucy was born in Tazewell, Tennessee on April 30, 1922.   She was the daughter of the late John N. Edmondson and Nancy (Whitaker) Edmondson.   As a teenager she would move to Michigan where she made it her home for the rest of her life.             

Lucy’s passing was preceded by her parents and two sisters:  Martha Hanzinger and Minnie Lane.   To cherish her memory she leaves a sister:  Edith Lambert of Tazewell, Tennessee; five nephews:  Jack Lambert and wife Ann Lambert who were Lucy’s caregivers of Newport, Michigan; James Lambert of Tazewell, Tennessee, Lewis Lambert of Monroe, Michigan, Paul Reece of Saline, Michigan, and Carl Hanzinger of Lexington, Michigan; five nieces: Vivian Lister, Delores Cupp, Carolyn Greene, Nancy Lambert, and Glenda Shockley all of Tazewell, Tennessee; and a host of additional family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday; November 3, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home; 1106 Highway 33 South; New Tazewell, Tennessee 37825; (423) 626-2191.   A graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM in the Cave Springs Cemetery with the Rev. James Lambert officiating.   Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 was entrusted with arrangements in Michigan.
