Obituary of Eddie Dean Howard
Eddie Dean Howard was born in Athens, Tennessee, on June 21, 1961. He was one of three children born from the union of the late J.T Howard and Eddie Joe (Gregory) Howard.
Eddie was the proud father of three children. To support his family, Eddie worked for over 35 years as a mover for D.M.S. Moving. One of the things that he appreciated most about his job was the opportunity to travel around the country to see new places. Eddie later spent several years working as a furniture assembler for Ethan Allen, retiring in 2018 due to declining health.
One of his favorite pastimes was wrenching on cars. Eddie was incredibly proud of his van that he rebuilt from scratch. He also had a passion for vegetable gardening. As a young man, he enjoyed Northern Michigan hunting with his Uncle Tom.
Although, Eddie, could be strong-willed, his love for others always shined through. Family was everything to him. He took his responsibility as a father seriously and knew the importance of being available to them, always telling them he loved them. Eddie being a devoted and generous uncle and grandfather, was truly adored by all. He was an example to many others, and his laugh and smile seemed to comfort all those in his presence.
Eddie enjoyed entertaining and liked to build bonfires to celebrate during the Summer and Fall. He looked forward each year to spreading Christmas cheer, making sure that all his decorations were perfect and of course had to match.
