Obituary of Ron Tracy

Ronald Tracy was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 29, 1940.   He was one of three children born from the union of the late Vincent and Pola (Lingo) Traciak.   He married the love of his life, the former, Katherine Rogers at St. Sebastian Church in Dearborn on October 7, 1961.  Together the couple took pride in raising their five children.

Ron was a Journeyman Electrician and design engineer in the automotive industry.  He was a pioneer in the field of programmable control systems used in automotive manufacturing.  Following his retirement, the couple enjoyed spending their winters in Florida and visiting their children.  Ron was a creative man.  He tinkered around, making a windmill and putting together model cars.  In his spare time, Ron could be found doing jigsaw puzzles or crossword puzzles.  More than anything, he loved to spend time with his family.

Ronald Tracy, age 79, of Carleton passed away peacefully on Monday; September 30, 2019 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.  In addition to his parents; his passing was preceded by his brother; Vincent Tracy; grandson Joshua Souza, and two great granddaughters: Aleecia and Violet Tackett.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of fifty-eight years, Katherine Tracy; five children: Tim (Glenda) Tracy, Steve (Sheryl) Tracy, Kevin (Rosa) Tracy, Angela (Jeff) Carter, and Diana (Brett) Stevenson; one sister: Gerry (Fred) Michalek; twelve grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
