Obituary of Robert Edward Burns Jr.

Robert Edward Burns Jr. was born on October 17, 1978 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two children born from the union of his parents: the late Robert Lewis Burns and Lora Jean (Butler) Burns. He received his education by attending Ida High School and graduated with the class of 1997. He received his spiritual nourishment by attending church at Monroe Full Gospel where he sits in the front row, where his father sat until his passing in 2018.

He was a very hard worker and was employed as a General Laborer for many years. He liked collecting various items including KISS memorabilia, Star Wars items and Garbage Pail Kids cards. He liked to unwind by reading books from his favorite author: Stephen King. He looked forward to watching Monday Night Wrestling and wouldn’t miss a Monday evening glued to his television.

Robert absolutely loved animals and was always feeding any wildlife animals he encountered. In his spare time, he enjoyed picking up bottles for a little extra cash. He had a fascination with Charles Manson and was obsessed with tattoos. He had countless tattoos and they all told a little story of his life and things he liked.

Above anything, Robert, known by all as “Boo Boo”, loved his family. He adored his nephews and cherished all the time he got to spend with them. He was a kind person who would do anything to help those in need and he will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Robert Edward Burns Jr., age 40 of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital from injuries he sustained in a car accident. His passing is preceded by his father.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving mother: Lora Jean Burns; his sister: Dawn Marie Burns; two nephews: Wayne Burns and Adam Burns; his close friend and uncle: Ronald Burns and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members and friends.
