Obituary of Sharon Kay Cochran
Sharon Kay Cochran was born on December 11, 1946 in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was the oldest of five children born from the union of her parents: the late Harry and Doris Hill. Sharon was a 1964 graduate of Whitmer High School of Toledo, OH.
Sharon loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. Her love for Elvis was a close second. She had a huge heart and just loved people. She enjoyed playing cards, playing bunco and watching the Hallmark Channel on TV. She liked to watch Christmas movies. In her earlier years, Sharon belonged to a book club, enjoyed gardening and keeping up on her yard. She was a member of the church choir and taught Sunday School and the First Wesleyan Church in Monroe. Sharon will be greatly missed.
Sharon Cochran, age 72 of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Merit House in Toledo, OH. In addition to her parents, her passing is preceded by her husband Timothy Cochran, and siblings; Harry Hill Jr. and Kathy Corter.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her children: Corey Mayo of Toledo, OH, Chad Cochran of Monroe, MI, Lance Mayo of Monroe, MI and Aubrey Mayo of Monroe, MI; eight grandchildren: Caeley, Kya, Rylie, Alyssa, Vega, CJ, Kaleb and Lyra; soon to be great grandson Carter; siblings; Patricia (Larry ) Holden and David Hill and many friends, nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 on Friday, August 16 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. The Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00 pm with Pastor Roy Southerland officiating.
