Obituary of Florence H. Govaere

Florence H. Govaere, age 96 of Dundee, Michigan passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Medilodge of Monroe. She was born in Redford, Michigan on October 6, 1921 the daughter of Anton and Elsie Blohm. She married Frank D. Govaere February 23, 1946 at Detroit. Sadly he passed away September 14, 1994. They moved to Dundee in 1948 and in `1949 they purchased the Dundee Triangle Tavern which they had owned until the 1960's. She enjoyed cooking for large groups of people and was very good at it. She also also enjoyed being around other people. She always had a smile on her face. She was a long time member of the Dundee Business Wo9mens Organization and for 30 years she was treasurer of the Dundee VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a long time member of the Dundee Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her daughter and devoted caregiver Lois J. Govaere. She was preceded in death by a sister Esther Miller and an infant brother Harold K. Blohm. In accordance with her wishes cremation has been held. A graveside inurnment will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Arrangements were handled by the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156).
