Obituary of Kelvin Vandercook
Kelvin Vandercook, age 62, of Petersburg passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Heritage Village of Waterville, Ohio following a long illness. He was born in Tecumseh, Michigan July 17, 1955 the son of Henry and Helen (Burnett) Vandercook. He attended and graduated from Summerfield Schools. He went to work at Tansel Ford Dealership in Dundee as a body man then worked at the Ford Motor Co. Saline Plant until taking a medical retirement. As a young boy he spent a lot o f time at his grandparents farm and developed a love of tractors. He especially liked Oliver Brand Tractors and collecting toy tractors. He is survived by his sons Kevin (Ashley) Libstorff of Monroe and Richard Libstorff of Dundee; granddaughters Alexandra and Kathryn, a brother Leslie Vandercook of Florida. Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. B.J. McDaniel, pastor of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at PleasantView Cemetery in Petersburg.
