Obituary of Anne O. Buhl
Anne O. Buhl, age 93, of Dundee, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Brookdale of Ann Arbor. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 7, 1924 the daughter of Dr. Samuel and Gladys (Fulton) Osborn. She married O. Keith Buhl January 20, 1944 at Mare Island, Califorrnia. He was stationed in the US Navy at the time. Sadly Keith passed away October 14, 2004. They moved to Dundee in 1961 and purchased the funeral home which they ran until 1984. Anne was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters. She was Past Worthy Matron and was a member of Milan Ruth Chapter OES which merged with Dundee Chapter She was a member of the Dundee Pythian Sisters Riverside Temple 70 which later merged with Minehaha Temple of Tipton. She was past Post Commander of the Ladies Auxillary of the Lansing VFW Post 701. She is a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafting and working with glass and ceramics. She refinished antique furniture for many years as well and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Her survivors include her sons Stephen Buhl o f Monroe and Douglas Buhl of Highland Village, Texas and daughters Susan Newman of Ypsilanti and Janet Bunch (Tony Davert) of Adrian; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Dr. Samuel Osborn and sisters Jane Ryan, Mary Osborn and Martha Angus; also a son in law Charles Newman. In accordance with her wishes cremation has been held. Friends may call from 10 AM until an 11 AM service of remembrance on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Dundee United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Brad Luck pastor of the church. Interment will follow the service and lunch at church at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
