Obituary of Bonnie Jean Wilcox

Bonnie Jean (Zorn) Wilcox passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Joseph Mercy hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born in Monroe, Michigan September 12, 1927 the daughter of Alva and Iva (Wilson) Zorn. She attended Bridge School and graduated from Dundee High School in 1945. Bonnie married W. Eugene Wilcox March 26, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Monroe. Sadly he passed away on June 15, 1989. She had worked at the Monroe County Abstract Company in Monroe and had also worked as a Teachers Aide for 17 years at the Dundee Community School. She also was secretary at the Presbyterian Church in Dundee; was active in the Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls when her family was growing up; volunteered at Dundee Community School and the Caring and Sharing Program at Dundee and London Township for many years; was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church and the Dundee Senior Citizens. She is survived by her two sons Thomas (Mary Ann) Wilcox of Maple City, Michigan and Steven (JoAnn) Wilcox of Dundee; her daughter Jean Ann (Ron) Silveira of Dundee; 10 grandchildren Thomas Jr. Wilcox, Michael (Kristen) Wilcox, Robert (Amy) Wilcox, James (Jill) Wilcox, Jon (DeDe) Wilcox, Laura (James) Lawrence, Paula (Mark) Thorn, William (Casey) Wilcox, Lisa (Mike) Marion and Ron ((Marlo) Silveira’ 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Matthew Wilcox, ten brothers and four sisters, Lewis Zorn, Hazel (Zorn) Brossia, Henry Zorn, Juanita (Zorn) Brossia, Alva Zorn, Ivan Zorn, Marvin Zorn, Janet (Zorn) Hoffman, Calvin Zorn, Violet (Laudenslager) Miller, Alvin Laudenslager, Ralph Lauderslager, Edgar Laudenslager and Ben Laudenslager. Friends may call on Friday from 2 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee. She will lie in state on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10 AM until 11 AM services at the Dundee United Methodist Church, corner of Sidney and Franklin Streets. Officiating will be Rev. Andy Baek.
