Obituary of Floyd R. Brown
Floyd R. Brown, age 88 of Forest Park, Georgia, formerly of Dundee, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Floyd was born October 31, 1928 in Milan Township the son of Earl Leroy and Florence (Powell) Brown. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1949 where he was very active in sports, particularly baseball and football. He was active in his church, sports, golf and fishing. He served in the United States Army for 2 years during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1991 from Tecumseh Products after 41 years employment. He also had worked for 15 years for Mannheim Auctions. He married Virginia Jameson March 21, 1969 at his parents Dundee Village home. Floyd is survived by his wife Virginia; children Dana Schmidt (Jack), Michelle Mangus, Bonnie Dardzinski (Ray), Debra Racheter, Dawn McNamara (Bob), Teresa Oberly (Mark), Edward Lovell (Beth) and Steven Brown (Amy); 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother Julian Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Floyd Richard Brown and Richard Donald Lovell, daughters Tina Marie Brown and Margaret Estelle Brown, brothers Earl Dean Brown, Harold Brown and Robert Brown. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Military honors will be conducted by the Dundee Military Group.
