Obituary of Sally Fritzler
Sally Fritzler, age 63, of Monroe, Michigan passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio under the care of her family. She was born October 13, 1953 in Monroe, Michigan the daughter of Eugene and Mildred (Comet) LaVigne. She graduated in 1971from Dundee High School. She married Jeffrey R. Fritzler at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee on March 17, 1990. He passed away February 5, 2014. Sally loved people and had an infectious laugh. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and visiting different casino’s. For the past 15 years she was a group home caregiver. Prior to that she worked at the Dundee Stockyards and worked at the Monroe Diner for 20 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 1 - 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). She will lie in state on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10 AM until 11 AM services at St. John Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jennifer Kiefer. A memorial funeral luncheon will immediately follow the church service in the parish hall. Chapel services and interment will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 909 N. Monroe St. in Monroe, Michigan. She is survived by her children Ken (Michelle) Fix of Toledo, David (Allison) Fritzler of Dundee, Matthew (Tonya) Fix of Newport, Asja Fritzler of Southfield and Amanda Fritzler of Monroe; 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; her mother Mildred Navarre of Monroe; brothers Jerry (Pat) LaVigne of Monroe and Ricky (Debbie) LaVigne of Temperance. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeff, father Eugene LaVigne and brother Eugene LaVigne Memorials may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
