Obituary of Rolland Wayne Poley

Rolland Wayne Poley, age 81, of Dundee and Milan Township, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Magnum Care in Monroe . He was born in Michigan on April 29, 1935 the son of Ralph and Marjorie (Biggins) Poley. He attended Milan and Dundee Community Schools. He married Jean Annette Fuller on January 7, 1956. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2006. Jean passed away March 6, 2016 He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machine operator at Tecumseh Products for 42 years. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time in Northern Michigan. He is survived by son Eric (Dawn) Poley of Milan and daughter Eryn (Brendan) Earls of Ida; grandchildren Ryan Poley, Rowan Earl and Fiona Earls; 2 sisters Janice Poley of Britton and Dorothy Fital of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Harvey, Howard and Charles Poley and sisters Bernita Smith and Evelyn Schiltz. Friends may call on Friday from 2 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Jennifer Kiefer, church pastor of St. John Lutheran Church.
