Lois Ann Goetz Fisher
Lois left this earth very peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Lois Ann Goetz was born on March 23, 1931 to Harold (HK) and Mary Noble Goetz in Dundee. She was a 1949 graduate of Dundee High School. She worked at the Dundee Theatre in Dundee for five years and drove the Standard Oil truck for her father for several years. She married the love of her life, Herman Fisher on July 21, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1989. She went to work at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member and volunteer at the Dundee Senior Center, played in the Senior Fun Band and enjoyed traveling and camping. She attended both the Dundee and Azalia Methodist Churches over the years. Surviving are a son John (Juli) Fisher; daughters Mary (Terry) Massingill of Dundee, Susan Fisher (Amos Al Johnson) of Dexter, Michigan, and Norma J. (Edward) Mixon of Wagener, SC; three grandsons Adam (Kristen) of Bedford, Aric (Melanie) Massingill of Dundee and Thomas Hunter of Petersburg; six darling great-grandchildren Gabe, Aiden, Alana, Evan, Corinne and Kally. She leaves behind several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and a beloved cousin Renee and family in California. Preceding her in death was her mother and father, husband, 3 brothers Paul, Don, and Dale Goetz, one sister Carol Kruger. Friends may call at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 1 – 8 PM. Her funeral will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 9th at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Andy Baek, pastor of the Dundee United Methodist Church.
