Obituary of William G. Johnson

William G. ‘Bill’ Johnson, 57, of Petersburg, Michigan, passed at his home under the care of his family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice on Thursday, August 25, 2016. He was born in Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, Michigan February 26, 1959 the son of Daniel and Jeanne (Klembecki) Johnson. He attended Dundee Community Schools before moving to Belleville. He came to Petersburg in 2015. He married Beth Ann Edelbrock July 17, 1982 in Belleville. He enjoyed his annual pig roasts, coaching his granddaughter’s softball team, sports, and getting together with friends and loved ones. He was employed as a construction supervisor, retiring in 2014. Bill is survived by his wife Beth Ann Johnson of Petersburg,; son Michael Johnson of Dundee; daughter Holly Johnson of Petersburg; granddaughter Alyssa Johnson; brothers Tim (Sue) Johnson of Wisconsin and Chris Johnson of California; sister Patti (Brian) Shaffner of Illinois; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 2014, his mother in 2016 and two brothers, Terry and Danny. Friends may call from 12 noon until 3 PM services on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Officiating will be Pastor Dan, chaplain at Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
