Obituary of Kendrick Wayne Black

Kendrick Wayne Black, age 49, of Newport, formerly of Dundee, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 suddenly at his job in Newport. He was born in Garden City, Michigan the son of Bobby Joe Black and Sandra L. Posey. He moved to Dundee in the 7th grade and attended junior high and senior high school at Dundee Community Schools. For a time he lived in Alaska and loved the outdoors, playing hockey, hunting and fishing, golfing and playing horseshoes. He is survived by his mother Sandra Day of Newport, son Eric of Ypsilanti and daughter Jamie Lee Black of Monroe, brother Robert Black of Commerce Twp, sister Alicia Lee Black of Maybee. He was preceded in death by his father. In accordance with his wishes cremation has been held. There will be a gathering in his memory at Dundee Wolverine Park on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 12-4 PM. Memorials may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or to the family.
