Obituary of Charles D. Moore

CHARLES D. MOORE On July 6th Charles D. Moore was called home at age 87, to be with his wife Dorothy, his son Steven, and other family members that passed before him. After serving in the United States Army from 1948-1950 with the military police, Chuck moved to Plymouth MI where he became a staple in the community for many years. He owned the A&W in Plymouth for 30 years, and was very active in the community, helping to lay the bricks in Kellogg park, working on the Plymouth museum, and could be found flipping pancakes during the fall festival. He was also a member of the Elks, Kiwanis, and V.F.W. in Plymouth before he and Dorothy retired and moved to Naples fl. In addition to being an incredible man, Chuck was a wonderful husband and great father, as well as a loving grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his children, Charles Jr. (Judy), Debra, Melvin (Debra), Richard (Lisa), Daniel, his 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his brother Ralph (Bernice). Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in his name, there will be an afternoon memorial, Sunday, July 17th at the Plymouth Elks at 3:00pm.
