Obituary of William R. Koczman

William R. Koczman, 63, of Petersburg, Michigan passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Toledo Hospital. Bill was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 17, 1952. Son of Rudolph Koczman and Margaret Goodridge-Possley. He is survived by his children, Rachel (Mike) Kolar of Ida and William R. (Valerie) Koczman Jr. of Chelsea; 3 Grandchildren, Emily Koczman, Olivia Kolar and Jacob Kolar; 3 Brothers, Marc (Madelon) Possley, Russ (June) Possley and Roger Possley; 3 Sisters, Lynn (Dennis) McCulloch, Kay (Waldomar) Roeser and Susanne Parker; Uncle Jack (Suzanne & Eric) Goodridge; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1970 and retired from Toledo Jeep. His biggest passion was running, training and showing his coon hounds and beagles. He was known around the country and received many trophies and awards for his dogs. He loved taking his granddaughter Emily for rides on his Harley, reminding his granddaughter Olivia to pick a winner in The Kentucky Derby and playing with his restored childhood train set with his grandson Jacob. He loved his children and his grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. Friends may gather from 12pm-3pm on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the VFW Post 6509 in Petersburg, Mi. A short service will be held at noon with time to share memories. Funeral arrangements were handled by Cover Funeral Home in Dundee.
