Obituary of George Wilson Engel

George W. Engel, age 97 of Monroe and formerly of Dundee, Michigan passed away at Fountainview of Monroe. He was born in Monroe, Michigan June 9, 1918 the son of Charles and Ida Mae (Bondy) Engel. George married the former Nyla Scott on April 15, 1942at Azalia. She passed away January 18, 1981. He joined the US Army during World War II and served for 3 ½ years, from 1941-1944 in the Infantry Artillery. He was employed as an inspector for the Tecumseh Products Company in Tecumseh for 36 years until his retirement. He is survived by a nephew Gary Fink of Dundee. Private graveside services will be held at Rath Cemetery in Raisinville Township. Arrangements were handled by the Cover Funeral Home in Dundee. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister Gertrude Fink and nephew Carl Fink. Memorials may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
