Obituary of Juanita Gorowski

Juanita (Aiston) Gorowski, age 88, of Monroe, Michigan passed away at the IHM Medical Care Center in Monroe on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. She was born June 13, 1926 in Dundee the daughter of Margaretta Aiston. She married Walter Gorowski July 31, 1943 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ida. He passed away June 2, 2000. She retired from Mercy Memorial Hospital as a nurse’s aide in 1988. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards with her sons, watching game shows and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by 3 sons: John (Sandy) of Ida, Daniel of Monroe and Michael (Wennie) of Adrian; 6 grandchildren: Richard (Shelly) Gorowski of Ida, Wendy (Chris) Hubbard of LaSalle, Nicole (Payman) Mahjoory of Northville, Ann Gorowski of Florida, Emily Gorowski of Detroit and Zachari Gorowski of Adrian: 6 great grand-children, Jake and Josh Gorowski of Ida, Kayla and Corey Hubbard of LaSalle, and Minah and Maxine Mahjoory of Northville. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Gorowski and mother Margaretta Aiston. Friends may call on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 1 – 9 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh St, Dundee (734-529-3156). Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2014. Officiating will be Rev. Jen Kiefer, pastor of St. John. Graveside services will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Monroe or to the IHM Nursing Home in Monroe.
