Obituary of Janice Sue Riley
Janice Sue Riley went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, 27 May 2014. She was in poor health for many years. Janice was born on January 11, 1941 in Marlette, Michigan the daughter of Charlie and Susie Hoist. She was the youngest of 11 children. Janice graduated from Marlette High School in 1959. During most of her life she was a mother and homemaker. She loved being with family and friends; Christian music; listening to her sister Bev play the piano; attending church and going out to eat plus watching her 2 golden retrievers playing outside. She was a member of the Milan Free Methodist Church. Surviving her are her husband Roger Riley of Dundee; daughter Pamela Oselett; granddaughter Danita (Garret) Pope, great-granddaughter Alexa Pope; step daughters Jackie (Haywood) Powell, Janet Fender, Sheryl (Matt) Copija, Cindy Ellen Riley; stepson Thomas R. Riley; step granddaughters Kayla and Alisyn Riley and 3 step-grandsons: Zakk Riley, Ben (Melissa) Robinson, Jasper (Nikki) Hopkins and a great-granddaughter Kloe Robinson; brother Lloyd (Joyce) Hoist and sisters Beverly (Burton) Schultz and Pat (Calvin) Pannabecker plus several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David, brothers Marvin Hoist, Glenn Hoist, Ivan (Marilyn) Hoist and Charles (Delores) Hoist, sisters Lila Hoist, Shirley Homer and Doris Delcourt.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has been held. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Milan Free Methodist Church, 950 Arkona Road In Milan. Officiating will be Pastor John White.
