Obituary of Mary C. Kroeger Miller

Mary C. Kroeger-Miller, age 93, of Dundee passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, California. She was born in LaSalle, Michigan January 6, 1920 the daughter of Andrew and Frances (Machacek) Price. She married Leonard Kroeger July 2, 1938. He passed away August 19, 1990. She then married Russell Miller in 1996. He passed away November 7, 2005. She was a member of the Dundee Senior Citizens; the Loyal Order of the Moose in Milan; the Milan Baptist Church; was retired as a bus driver from Dundee Community Schools in 1986; was a member of the Braden Castle in Florida; Snow Flake Senior Citizens Center in Arizona; the Red Hat Ladies; wore bright lively colors; was a good homemaker; loved playing cards; having fun and joking with people. You always knew where you stood with Mary. She also loved dancing and her Czech heritage and never knew a stranger. Mary is survived by two daughters, Sondra Jean (Gerald) House of Tecumseh and Patricia (Greg) Parmele-Charter of Sylmar, California; son Robert Kroeger of Dundee; stepson Russell ( Maggie) Miller Jr. of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren: Ricki Lee Straits, Robie Dee Straits, Russell Straits, Dr. Lori Tackman, Golden Kroeger, Koralie Palmer; step-grandchildren Cynthia (Tim) Hubbard, Brenda Wright, Bobbi Jo (Chris) Brown, and Stacy (Craig) Scharf, Deana Charter and Tracy Miller; 9 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandcildren; 1 great-greatgrandchild and 1 step-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands and a brother who died in infancy. Friends may call on Saturday from 3 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Funeral Sunday at 2:00 PM, June 23, 2013 at the funeral home. Officiating Pastor Doug Strader of the Milan Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials may be made to any charity of the donors choice.
