Obituary of Donna L. Polley

Donna L. Polley, age 84, of Dundee passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Mercy Memorial Hospital emergency room after becoming ill at home. She was born in Adrian, Michigan January 30, 1929 the daughter of Clarin and Ethel (Tanko) Bates. . She married Franklin H. Polley June 14, 1947 in Adrian. He passed away September 11, 2005. She graduated from high school in 1947 and married Frank that same year. She worked at the Herrick Memorial Hospital in Tecumseh and was a member of the Dundee Seniors Citizens. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Franklin Jr. (Colleen) of Farmington Hills, MI and Lonny (Janice) of Lincoln Park, MI; daughters Sharon (Gary) Odbert of Colorado Springs, CO, Shirley (Dennis) Denhart of Dundee, MI and Donna (Robert) Wilkerson of Franklin, NC; grandchildren Samantha, Scott, April, Robert, Frank and Rose, Tricia and Kevin, Donald and Ashley, Eva, Jennifer and Jerry, Brian, Kim, Nick, Mellisa, Kelli and Joshua ; also 27 great-grandchildren . Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, her daughter Bonnie Gerber, her granddaughter Rebecca Wilkerson and brother Jack Bates. Friends may call on Friday from 1 – 8 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM until a funeral service at 12 Noon at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Officiating will be the Rev. Don Brown, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
