Obituary of Marjorie Desbrough

Marjorie E. Desbrough, age 90, of Dundee and formerly of Milan and Maybee, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh. She was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on December 6, 1922. She married Samuel Desbrough May 29, 1941 in Ypsilanti. He passed away November 16, 1980. She was raised by her adopted parents Leroy and Nellie Pilbeam. Marjorie was raised in Ypsilanti and after marriage she and her husband lived in London Twp and Maybee areas. She then lived in Milan for 28 years before coming to Dundee. She was a member of the Dundee Seniors Citizens and enjoyed playing euchre at the Milan American Legion Hall. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Kenneth Richard (Connie) Desbrough of Dundee and Don (Karen) Desbrough of Brooklyn; daughter Connie (Barry) Russeau of Dundee; 8 grandchildren ; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren . Friends may call on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 1 PM until a funeral service at 4 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Officiating will be the Rev. Douglas Olsen, pastor of the Dundee United Methodist Church in Dundee. Cremation will follow the services. Cremains interment will follow later at Northside Cemetery in Maybee.
