Obituary of Mary Lou Bunce

Mary Lou Bunce, age 90, of Dundee, Michigan, died Friday , March 1, 2013 at 10 PM in the Lutheran Home in Monroe. She was born April 28, 1922 in Augusta Township, Michigan near Milan, the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Loesch) Pollitz. She married Wesley D. Bunce February 19, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. He passed away December 12, 1995. Mary Lou worked for 13 years for King-Seeley Corp in Ann Arbor then 19 years as a postal clerk for 19 years at the Dundee Post Office. She retired in 1984. She spent most of her life in Dundee and graduated from Dundee High School in 1940. She is a member of St. John Lutheran Church and its Peace Circle. She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Hugh) Fairchild of Bowling Green, Ohio and Luan Sedlar of Dundee; grandchildren Kelli, Scott and Kurt; great-grandchildren Caden, Colton and Luke; brother Arthur Pollitz of Lansing. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by brothers Walter and Clarence and sisters Doris Loomis and Pauline Bowers. Friends may call on Sunday and Monday from 3 – 8 PM both days at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). She will lie in state from 10 AM until 11 AM services Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church, 460 Riley Street in Dundee. Officiating will be James Puhl, L.M. of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Home of Monroe or to Promedica Hospice.
