Obituary of Marian E. Judit

Marian E. Judit, 88, of Jonesville, Michigan formerly of Dundee, died Sunday Dec. 16, 2012 at Arbor Manor Nursing Home in Spring Arbor. Marian was born on the family farm on Cake Road in Dundee Township, June 1, 1924 the daughter of John and Bertha (Moeller) Winter. She married James J. Judit April 30, 1955 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Petersburg. He died on August 22, 1990. She graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1941. She helped on the dairy farm in Dundee with her husband. Prior to her marriage she had worked at the Detroit Edison Company. She was brought up in the church and taught Sunday school and was in the church choir. She moved in 1975 to the Jonesville-Hillsdale area and for the past few years resided at Arbor Manor. Her survivors include her son John Judit of Dundee; daughters Mary (Michael) Foulke of Hillsdale and Donna (Tony) Bognar of Jonesville; grand-daugher Gennie (Frank) Huntley of Jonesville. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband James; brothers John (Jack), Earl and Arnold Winter as well as her sister Lois Helle. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156/888-383-4176) She will lie in state from 10 AM until 11 AM service on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 343 E. Center Street in Petersburg. Officiating will be Rev. Mark S. Flory, pastor of the church. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Summerfield Township.
