Obituary of Naomi Virginia Spaulding Schultz

Naomi Virginia Spaulding Schultz, age 82 of Blissfield, formerly of Dundee, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh. She was born in Monroe July 31, 1929 the daughter of Harry and Virginia (Vandercook) Lewis. She married William G. Spaulding September 7, 1946 in Deerfield. He died December 12, 1998. She then married Donald Schultz September 24, 2003. He died October 23, 2006. She had worked at Gambles, Wolverine Plastics in Milan and Yeck Manufacturing in Dundee. She loved spending time with her family; working in her vegetable and flower gardens; watching bird and reading. She was an exceptional cook and her family loved her chicken and sliders, homemade bread, and especially her donuts. She is survived by her sons Frederick Spaulding of Dundee, Steven (Judy) Spaulding of Petersburg, Jeffery (JoAn) Spaulding of Petersburg and Paul (Stephanie) Spaulding of Milan; daughter Kathleen (Kevin) Zorn of Dundee; stepchildren Douglas (Mary) Schultz and Debra (Rod) Bradford of Petersburg; sister Louella Looper of Deerfield, Illinois; grandchildren William Spaulding, Frederick Spaulding, Christopher Spaulding, Eric Spaulding, Karen Hodges, Kay Carey, Shane Bauman, Tammy Sanchez, Shannon Twichell, Daniel Hickman, Aaron Hickman, Philip Hickman, Emily Simpson, Shane Spaulding, Curtis Spaulding and Tammy Smith; 29 great-grandchildren, special friend Mary Ann Owens and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, twin daughters Karen Lee and Kay Lynn, brother Claude Lewis, sister Jeanette Jewell and great-grandson Vincent Allen Cleary-Hickman. Friends and family will gather at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 5 – 9 P.M. In accordance with her wishes cremation has been held. Cremains interment will follow at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society, 833 N. Telegraph Road, Monroe, MI 48162 o to any charity of the donor’s choice.
