Obituary of Kenneth H. Falk

Kenneth Harold Falk, age 88, of Dundee, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Detroit, Michigan December 19, 1923 the son of William John Falk Sr and his wife Emma Bertha Younka. He married Patricia Blanche Prajzner on April 3, 1947 in Ida. Sadly she preceded him in death on August 25, 1979. He served in the US Army as a Tech 5th Grade following high school graduation. He was inducted February 4, 1943 and was discharged January 1, 1946.He served in New Guinea and Luzon. He retired from Dundee Cement Company in 1984 after 26 years of employment. He was also a mechanic and a welder and had worked at Harry Mays Chevrolet, the Boyce Dealership and Ed Harwood Buick. His interests were many and varied. After retiring he enjoyed woodworking and made things like clocks and jewelry boxes. He loved their cottage; hunting; playing cards and horseshoes; was a ham radio operator; loved all things electronic including figuring out how they worked; recently bought his first IPOD. He was a family man and loved every chance he had to spend with them. Survivors include a daughter Kim (Stan) Rowland of Canton, Georgia; four sons Kenneth (Chuck) (Sara) Falk of Chino Hills, California, Michael (Susan) Falk of Waterford, Connecticut, Kirk (Debra) Falk of Tipton and William J. Falk of Petersburg; grandchildren Jessica (Christopher) Landis, Bryan (Tora) Falk, Matthew (Chrystal) Falk, Joshua Fink, Justin Falk, Kaitlynn Falk, Kyla Falk and Nicole Falk; great-grandchildren Christian Clark, Brooklyn Landis, Allison Clark, Abegail Landis, Piper Landis, Alayna Falk and Keilee Falk. He was preceded in death by his wife and sisters Clara Ann Agusta, Eleanor Louise Falk and infant baby sister, brothers Edward Alfred Falk, Alfred Henry Falk and William John Falk. Friends may call Friday from 1 – 8 P.M. at Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2012. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Olsen. Interment with graveside military honors by the Dundee Veterans Group will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
