Obituary of Ronald Ellis
Ronald D. Ellis, age 77 of Dundee, Michigan passed away at his home Sunday morning, September 18, 2011. He was born in Monroe, Michigan December 28, 1933 the son of Ezra William Ellis and Helen Sakala. He married Jean L. Fairbanks July 6, 1968 at the Dundee United Methodist Church. Ron graduated from Dundee High School in 1952. He also served in the US Army as a radio repairman and had owned and operated Bill’s Welding Service in Dundee retiring last year. Prior to joining the military he had worked for the Ford Motor Company and had attended welding school in Hobart, Indiana. He is survived by his wife Jean, a son Jay (Susan) Ellis of Monroe, two daughters Jacqueline Ellis-Duvall of Monroe and Kristin Ellis of Alexandria, Virginia; grandchildren Mitchell Duvall, Maya Duvall, Lucas Ellis and Ethan Ellis; also a sister Peg Addy of Dundee. Friends may call on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until a memorial service at 1:00 P.M. at the Dundee United Methodist Church, Sidney at Franklin Streets. Officiating will be the Rev. Douglas Olsen pastor of the church. The church will be providing a memorial luncheon for Ron immediately following his service on Friday.In accordance with his wishes cremation has been held.
