Obituary of Brenda Smith

Brenda M. Smith, 69 of Maybee, passed away at 2:08 A.M., Wednesday. September 14, 2011 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She was born September 11, 1942 in MacArthur, West Virginia the daughter of Alfred and Ruby (Hughes) Sadler. She married Jimmy Smith Sr. March 3, 1962 at Sparta, North Carolina. Sadly he passed away on September 8, 2003. Brenda enjoyed many things including gardening, her pets, cooking and canning, spending time with family and her grandkids, trips to the casino and watching her favorite preacher on television. Her survivors include her two sons Jimmy (Marie) Smith Jr. of Taylor and Douglas (Gretjen) Smith of Dundee, her daughter Rose (David) Ravary of Erie, grandchildren Jessica Ravary, Samantha (Jody) Heusman, Jordan Ravary, Alicia Lindsey, Trevor Smith, Austin Smith, Seth Smith, Brian Smith, Steven Smith and Chelsea Smith; brother Alvin Sadler of Matoaka, West Virginia and sister Nancy Wheeler of Belmont, North Carolina. In addition to her husband Jimmy she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Buddy Sadler, Alfred Sadler Jr and Elwood Sadler. In accordance with her wishes there will be no formal visiting or services at this time. Cremation has been held and her cremains will be interred with her husband in West Virginia.
