Obituary of Danny Freshour
Danny D. Freshour, age 67, of Dundee, Michigan, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe following a short illness. He was born in Monroe September 11, 1943 to Bill and Mary (Molly)(Drudge) Freshour. He married Linda Kay Welch December 14, 1963 in Milan, Michigan. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1961. He was the co-owner of the Dundee Deck Company which was in operation from 1953-2002 when the business was closed. He then retired. He was a member of the Iron Workers and Sheet Metal Workers out of Toledo and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers out of Detroit. He got his first horse at 10 years of age and raised thoroughbred racing horses at his Warlock Farms on Dixon Road. He also enjoyed trips to northern Michigan with friends and deer hunting and fishing. He is survived by his daughters Lea Ann Nichols of Monroe and Lynn (Christopher) Little of Dexter; grandchildren David Nichols, Ashley Nichols, Erin Nichols and Madison Little; brother Mickey (Charlotte) Freshour of Dundee. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kelly Ann Freshour April 3, 1965, and his parents Bill and Molly. In accordance with his wishes private services will be held. Following cremation, inurnment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
