Obituary of Robert Scott Yoakum

Robert Scott Yoakum was born on March 18, 1963 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two children born from the late Scott E. and Margaret E. (Hargis) Yoakum. Robert attended Monroe High School and graduated with the Class of 1981.

Bob was an avid car man, often driving his big monster truck “Problem Child” around town. He made a career out of his passion, working on vehicles to earn money. Bob belonged to auto clubs and even participated in many parades. He was outgoing, well liked and had many friends who he loved to spend time with. Bob looked forward to family gatherings at his sister’s home and karaoke on the weekends. He would do anything for a friend or family member in need, especially his adored daughters and grandchildren who he loved dearly.

Robert “Bob” Scott Yoakum, age 56 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 30, 2019. In addition to his father’s passing, he is preceded in death by a stillborn child.

To cherish his memory, Bob leaves three daughters, all of Monroe; one grandson of Monroe; and one sister of Carleton.
