Obituary of Michael W. Sodergren

Michael W. Sodergren, age 63, of Dundee, Michigan passed away at his home under his families care and hospice on Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was born May 4, 1953 and raised in Traverse City, Michigan the son of Warren Sodergren and Angie Tillie . He served in the United States Air Force as a Sgt. E-4 from 1971-1975. He was employed with the State of Michigan as an Assistant Food Service Director. He retired in 2009 after 30 years of service. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing; computers; yardwork and especially loved the springtime of year. He married Kimberly K. Tennyson on November 3, 2001at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Kimberly; son Scott (Nicole) Sodergren of Fraser; daughter Heather (Jared) Fee of Sand Creek; stepsons Danny Moody of Dundee and Jeremy Moody (Joyanna Murdock) of Toledo; sisters Shirley Ann (James) Barnett of East Jordan and Barbara (Hank) Bowers of Traverse City; 7 grandchildren and his loving Dachshunds Gracie and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) on Monday March 27, 2017 from 1 – 8 PM. Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel Sharpe, Chaplain at Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
