Obituary of Sharon L. Marienfeld
Sharon Marienfeld, 73, of LaSalle died Jan. 3, 2017 in her home.
She was born in Midland, Mich. on Dec. 6, 1943. She grew up in Jackson, Mich., where she attended Jackson High School and graduated in 1962. She moved to Toledo, Ohio and worked for Champion Spark Plug for 20 years.
She built a home in LaSalle, Mich. where she lived with her lifelong companion. She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends. She had a strong love for animals. She once owned a small business in Ida, Mich. where she named the business Shep's Market, named after one of her beloved pets.
Sharon always said she had a hard time expressing herself with words so she showed her love by helping family and friends fix and repair, whether it was putting a bicycle together or fixing a car.
Later in Sharon's life she enjoyed spending time with her devoted friend, Stephanie Duwve.
A private burial service was held on Jan. 16, 2017 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Sharon was laid to rest next to her lifelong companion of 38 years, Lee Sunday.
