Obituary of Joseph Felix Secor
Joseph Felix Secor, age 88, of Dundee, Michigan passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born August 12, 1927 in Summerfield Township, Michigan to John and Anna (Kuda) Secor. He married Charlene Perry on August 12, 1947. She passed away September 12, 1983. He then married Jean A. (Cousino) Harnica January 23, 1987. She survives him. Joe was a welder at Tecumseh Products Company for over 40 years. He retired October 1, 1989. He also had worked for the Willy’s Jeep Corporation in Toledo. He was a founding member of the Dundee Sportsman Club; loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors; playing in euchre tournaments; tending his flowers and gardening every year; made at least 100 pounds of homemade sauerkraut every year; is a member of St. Gabriel Parish, St. Irene Campus in Dundee. His survivors include his wife Jean; daughter Judy Solik of Dundee; stepdaughter Diane (Tom) Studenski of Troy, MI; stepsons David (Renee) Harnica of Toledo and John (Dawn) Harnica of Dundee; daughter in law Esther Secor of Dundee; sister in law Jeanette Secor of Petersburg; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, sons Jim and Jack, a sister Rose Rogacki, brothers John Secor and Stanley Secor and 2 infant siblings. Friends may call Monday from 1 – 8 PM at Cover Funeral Home in Dundee (734-529-3156) . He will lie in state on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 9:30 AM until Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM at the St. Gabrel Parish, St. Irene Campus in Dundee. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials in his name may be made to St. Gabriel/St. Irene Church.
