Obituary of Tina Borawski

Tina Marie (Michael) Borawski October 13, 1965 - June 17, 2013 Tina Marie (Michael) Borawski was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 13, 1965. She was the daughter of Preston Michael and the late Linda (Moss) Michael. Tina attended Jefferson High School. Tina married Jerry Borawski on October 2, 1992 and from this union would come the birth of three children. Over the years Tina would work several odd jobs, but her true passion was that of caring for her family as a homemaker. She took great care in maintaining her home, and loved to garden and plant flowers in the yard. Tina had a generous heart looking after her family and helping others. Tina had a great sense of humor and she enjoyed sharing a laugh with others. She was a reliable presence at her children's events. Tina was an avid sports fan, recently working the concessions at Ford Field with her daughter: Chantelle, and she loved the Red Wings. She enjoyed attending the kid's athletic events and was a constant fixture at her twin boys', Matthew and Tyler, hockey games. Tina enjoyed playing cards, family get-togethers and outings, and she always enjoyed a good road trip. Tina Marie (Michael) Borawski, age 47 of Monroe passed away at 10:37pm, Monday, June 17, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. In addition to her mother on January 22, 1999 her passing was preceded by her grandparents. To cherish her memory, Tina leaves a daughter: Chantelle "Nikki" Borawski (Stephen Webb); two sons: Tyler Borawski (Kayla Turnbull) and Matthew Borawski (Nicole Erd) all of Monroe; her father: Preston Michael (Donna Flowers) of Newport; a step son: Gerald (Eileen) Borawski of Killeen, Texas; two sisters: Wendy (Kenneth) Webb and Tammy Cole both of Monroe; a brother : "Allen" (Karen) Michael of Clarksville, Tennessee; seven nieces and nephews: Savannah Donnelly, Chloe Webb, Josh, Katie, and Alyssa Michael, Johnny and Tabbitha Cole; and one step grandson: Gerald Ian Borawski. Friends may gather from 12:00pm until 6:30pm on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:30pm with Reverend B.J. McDaniel pastor of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the Borawski Family to assist with funeral expenses.
