Obituary of Jacob U'Ran

Jacob Jay U'Ran age 21 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 6, 2009 at his home. Jacob was born October 17, 1987 in Trenton, Michigan. He was the youngest of three boys born from the union of Nicholas Joseph U'Ran and Arletta Kay (Smith) U'Ran. Jacob had been saved at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, and as a youth had attended the Grape Missionary Baptist Church.
Jacob attended Monroe Public schools. While in high school Jacob became a father. He was extremely proud of his daughter Jaiden, and went to great lengths to spend time with her. Jacob not deterred by obstacles returned to school and obtained his GED. Jacob worked for Automotive Component Holdings (formerly Ford and Visteon) in Monroe for several years. He worked on the production line.
As a youth Jacob spent a lot of time playing hockey with his brothers, neighborhood friends and roller hockey leagues. Jacob enjoyed outdoor activities. He had spent the past summer playing softball and fishing with his cousin Zack. Jacob was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved going to concerts and listening to alternative and rock music.
Jacob's true passion was spending time with his daughter Jaiden, his family and friends. Jacob's loving family includes his daughter: Jaiden U'Ran who meant the world to him; his mother; Kay U'Ran and her companion Paul Revard of Monroe; his father: Nicholas and Cheryl U'Ran of LaSalle; his brother: Joshua U'Ran and Karen Lochner; his special sis'-Tiffany Paolino ; his maternal grandparents: Robert and Donna Smith; paternal grandparents: Pat and Ed Henson; several aunts, uncles, and cousins all of Monroe. His passing was preceded by a brother: Justin Joseph U'Ran on July the 5th of this year.
Friends may gather from 12:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. Friends may also gather on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 11:00am until a Celebration of His Life at 12:00pm. The Rev. Nate Clawson and the Rev. Bobby Smith both of Grape Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. Roy Southerland of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will co-officiate. Following his service, Jacob will be taken in procession to St. Joseph Cemetery for his final rest.
