WE WILL POST HERE ON OUR WEBSITE WHEN THAT WILL OCCUR. Raymond E. Schaub, Phd, age 71, of Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. He was born June 14, 1942 in Gatesville, Texas the son of Hilmer Schaub and Grace Walker. He was a graduate of Rice University in Houston and received his Doctorate degree there as well. He retired as professor emeritus in German Language from the Eastern Michigan University in 2000 and was the Director of World College at E.M.U. He liked old country music and collecting unique belt buckles. He married Uta Schaub and later married Priscilla Cameron. He is survived by his wife Priscilla; his son Daniel Schaub and daughter in law Nikki Schaub both of Petersburg; grand-daughter Sophia Schaub; brother John Schaub and sister in law Anna Schaub both of Fort Worth, TX and sister Margaret Collins and brother in law Bill Collins both of Dallas, TX. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 2 PM until 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). He will lie in state Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 10 AM until 11 AM services at Petersburg United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Joel Walther . Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Summerfield Township. A funeral dinner at the church hall will follow the graveside services.
