Obituary of Diane Rowe

Diane Joy (Viles) Rowe, 57 of Manitou Beach, MI passed away suddenly at her son Matthew’s home in Jacksonville, Fla., on December 24, 2013. She had been on her “Trip of a Lifetime” to see her two newborn grandsons born in Virginia and Florida. #Diane was born on December 17, 1956 to Norman G. Viles Sr. and Virginia L. (Bagley) Viles in Toledo, Ohio. Diane married David E. Rowe on November 14, 1981 in Adrian, MI. He died on May 26, 2013. She was a 1975 graduate of Summerfield High School. A GM employee, she worked at the Fisher Body Plant in Tecumseh, MI until it closed in 1987, then transferring to Toledo Hydramatic. She left GM to enjoy more time with her family at their home on Devil’s Lake. For many years she worked part time at Devil’s Lake Hardware. Diane and her husband David owned many rental properties in Lenawee County, MI keeping them very busy. She had a huge heart and will be remembered for her generosity and loving ways. She couldn’t have been prouder of her two sons; Matthew and Mark, each giving her new grandsons just this December. She is survived by her 2 sons, Matthew (Stephanie) of Jacksonville, FL and Mark (Lea) of Chesapeake, VA; 3 grandsons Aiden Matthew, Greysen David, and Colton Matthew; her mother Virginia Viles of Petersburg; brother Norman (Kim) Viles Jr. of Petersburg and 2 sisters Crystal (Max) Good of Petersburg and Sandra (Mark) Vazur of Elyria, OH along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband her father and grandparents, Lawrence and Florence Viles and Frank and Viola Bagley. Cremation has been held. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 16,2014. Friends may call from noon until 4:00 P.M. at the American Legion Hall in Deerfield. Rev. Dr.Michael Woroniewicz, pastor of St. Gabriel Catholic Parish will officiate at a prayer service at 1:00 P.M. with dinner to follow.
