Obituary of Virginia Mae Reid

Virginia Mae Reid, age 78 of Monroe, formerly of Detroit, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Magnum Health Care of Monroe. She was born in London Township, Michigan July 18, 1934 the daughter of Martin and Lila (Cordts) Church She married Oren Reid Sr. She is survived by sons Oren (Janene) Reid Jr. of Ann Arbor, Russell Reid of Detroit and James reid of Monroe, daughters Helen (Harold) Heisler of Maybee, Rosemary Caldwell of Detroit and Caroline (Don) Ripple of Maybee; 33 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother Spencer Hargraves of Mio, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her children Richard, Gene, Spencer, Leroy, Barbara and Shirley Ann., brother Vern and sisters Thelma and Lois.. Friends may call Monday from 1 – 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156 or 888-383-4176). Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Brown, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee. Interment will take place at Northside Cemetery in Maybee. A memorial funeral luncheon will be held after the committal at the Calvary Baptist Church.
