Obituary of Joseph Norman Prajzner

Joseph Norman Prajzner Sr., age 83 of Dundee, passed away at 11:45 A.M., Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan November 19, 1928 the son of Alexander C. and Blanche M. (Warzecha) Prajzner Sr. Joe had worked at Tecumseh Products Company in Tecumseh for 38 years and retired May 1, 1991. He is a member of St. Irene Catholic Church in Dundee and the Dundee Senior Citizens Center. He attended the Stowell School in Dundee and enjoyed fishing and playing euchre. He married Donna Griffor in 1950. He then married Patsy J. Dalrymple February 17, 1962 at St. Irene Catholic Church in Dundee. He is survived by his wife Patsy; sons Joseph Prajzner Jr. of Dundee and John C. Prajzner of Cleveland, Ohio; daughters Judith Harmon of Monroe, Patricia (Wayne) Cook of Dundee and Annette Prajzner of New York; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Larry B. (Betty) Prajzner of Brooklyn. He was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Jo Thomas, grandson Todd Prajzner, sister Patricia Falk and brother Alex C. Prajzner Jr. Friends may call Thursday 5 – 8 PM and Friday from 12 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156 or 888-383-4176). He will lie in state on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. Irene Catholic Church, 576 E. Main Street, from 10:30 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz, pastor of the church. A prayer service will be held at 7 PM on Friday night at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice, 1070 N.
