Obituary of Cynthia Dianne Ashley

Cynthia Dianne Ashley, age 72, of McKenzie, Alabama and formerly of Britton, Michigan passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. She was born in Greenville, Alabama May 16, 1944 the daughter of Henry Derry Skipper and Odean R. Reid. She married James Allen Ashley Feb. 14, 1977 in Toledo, Ohio. She had also been employed at Ford Motor Saline Plant for 15 years until her retirement. They moved to Alabama 11 years ago from Britton. She belonged to a prayer group in her area , enjoyed her flowers and gardening, and was a horse lover. Her survivors include her husband James; daughter Elizabeth (Brian) Snyder of Tecumseh; sons Scotty (Michelle) Taylor of Tecumseh, Claude (Julie) Taylor of Perrysburg, OH, and James A. Allen Jr. of McKenzie, Alabama; 9 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; half sister Tammy Morgan of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Derry Kim Skipper. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 2 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Officiating will be Pastor Pete Valdez of Adrian. Interment will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway Township.
