Obituary of Paul "Taz" Donald Williams
Paul Donald Williams was born on February 1, 1957 in Trenton, Michigan. He was one of nine children born from the union of his parents: the late Joel George Williams and the late Betty Gean (LaVigne) Williams. He received his spiritual nourishment by attending church at St. Joseph Church in Maybee.
Paul loved working on motorcycles and dedicated his life to helping others. He was a member of the Carleton Motorcycle Club for many years. His fun-loving personality made it easy for him to make lasting friendships and he was known by everyone as “Taz”. He enjoyed cooking for those he loved and spent countless hours outdoors hunting and fishing.
Paul met and married the love of his life: the former Vicki Lovell on May 21, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. Together they would enjoy 13 beautiful years of marriage. His strong work ethic always shown through because there was no task he couldn’t tackle. He built his home with his own two hands and dedicated his life making sure his loved ones were taken care of. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends and his beloved companion: Rags.
His ability to make those around him laugh by his infamous practical jokes and his kind heart are just a few things that will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Paul “Taz” Donald Williams, age 62 of Maybee, passed away on Saturdy, June 15, 2019 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. His passing is preceded by his brothers: Joel and Ace Williams; his sisters: Iva Moore, Emma Eagle and Ruth Bomia and his parents.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife of 13 years: Vicki Williams; his sisters: Margaret Wenzel and Claudia Shepherd; his brother: John Williams and many nieces nephews, extended family members and friends.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 2:00pm until a Celebration of His Life at 7:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe 2442 North Monroe Street, (734) 384-5185 to be officiated by Father John Hedges from St. Stephen Catholic Church in New Boston, Michigan. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family to help with funeral arrangements.
