Obituary of Norene Elizabeth Schafer
Norene Elizabeth Cairl was born on February 1, 1941 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of four children born from the union of her parents: the late James Cairl and the late Ella (Meeker) Cairl. She received her education by attending Ida High School and graduated with the class of 1959. Norene was blessed with four children and worked hard to support her growing family working various jobs as a cook.
Norene enjoyed camping, fishing, watching her beloved Detroit Tigers and all the shows on the Animal Planet. She was known for her love of music and was never too shy to sing karaoke to show off her beautiful voice. She had a free spirit who enjoyed having a good time. Norene was sure to make you laugh by telling jokes and will forever be remembered for her contagious laugh.
Above anything, Norene loved her family and made sure everyone was taken care of. She was an amazing cook, and no one left her home hungry. She was known for her famous cheeseballs and was sure to bake a cake anytime someone had a birthday. Her loving nature and free spirit are just a few things that will be deeply missed by her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
