Obituary of Anthony Robert Strzelecki
Anthony Robert Strzelecki was born on April 25, 1951 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was one of six children born from the union of his parents: the late John Strzelecki and the late Nola (Jenkins) Strzelecki. After graduating from Dundee High School with the class of 1969, he proudly enlisted into the United States Army where he honorably served his country for two years.
Anthony worked hard to support his family as a machine operator at Georgia -Pacific. He had a solid work ethic and was committed to that company until retiring in 2010. When he wasn’t working, he was taking care of his family and always made sure they had everything they needed.
He spent countless hours outdoors fishing and enjoyed traveling…….. anywhere and everywhere. He enjoyed working with wood and became a very skilled carpenter. He always looked forward to time spent with his family and especially loved cooking big Holiday meals for everyone including Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner where he would serve his favorite dish: Mac and Cheese.
Anthony was very intelligent and always put others before himself. He was quick witted and knew how to make those around him laugh. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing guitar for his loved ones. His never-ending abundance of knowledge and caring nature are just a few things that will be deeply missed by his family and those closest to him.
Anthony Robert Strzelecki, age 68, of Dundee, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. His passing is preceded by both of his parents.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving wife of twenty years: Helen Strzelecki of Dundee; daughter: Amber Vineyard of Austin, Texas; his sisters: Nancy Hoffman of Cleveland, Tennessee and Judy Strzelecki of Iowa; his brothers: Dan (Marianne) Strzelecki of Milan, George Strzeleck and John Strzelecki, both of Hillsdale and many extended family members and friends
