Obituary of Casey Tyler Ellis
Casey Tyler Ellis was born on July 24, 1986 in Houston, Texas. He was one of three children born from the union of his parents: Rob Ellis and Yvonne (VanMeer). He received his education by attending Summit Academy and graduated with the Class of 2012.
In 2009, Casey was blessed with a son, Noah, whom he loved dearly. He worked hard throughout his life working in Construction as a laborer and had a solid work ethic. He had a huge heart and was an all-around “heartfelt guy” making it very easy for him to make lasting friendships throughout his life.
He put others before himself, trying to help those struggling with addiction. This was a task he never took lightly and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Above anything, family was important to Casey. He remained close to his parents and brothers throughout his life and he cherished time spent with his son. His big heart and energy are just a few things that will be missed deeply by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Casey could light up any room he walked into. There will forever be a void in the hearts of everyone he loved.
Casey Tyler Ellis, age 32 of Newport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving parents: Rob and Yvonne Ellis; his son: Noah; his brothers: Robert Christopher (Becca) Ellis and Conner (Lauren) Ellis; his aunts: Betty (Rob) Tolliver and Jennifer Ulmer; his uncle: Tommy (Char) VanMeer; his paternal grandparents: Bob and Sue Volpi; his maternal grandparents: Tom and Mary VanMeer; and his nieces and nephews: Abby Ellis, Abel Ellis and Isiah Ellis. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 5:00pm also at Merkle’s with Pastor Cliff Ervin officiating.
