Star Allen

Obituary of Star Allen

Maria Star Beaudrie was born on March 13, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. She was one of five children born from the union of her parents: the late Lawrence Beaudrie and the late Mary (Adolfo) Beaudrie. She attended school at Our Lady of Lourdes in River Rouge and graduated with the Class of 1965. It was there that she met the love of her life: Frederick Allen Jr. and they were married on March 26, 1969 in Wyandotte, Michigan. They decided to start a family of their own and were blessed with four children: two sons and two daughters.

To support her family, Star worked for Grand Trunk Railway as a key punch operator for many years. In addition to working at the railroad, she also worked hard at home raising her family and always made sure they were well taken care of.

Always classy, she never left the house without accessorizing and looking her absolute best. She loved listening to Motown music and always had one of her favorite tunes accompanying her throughout her day. In her spare time, Star enjoyed shopping, painting, tending to her beautiful flower garden and watching the hummingbirds and animals in her yard from the comfort of her porch sipping her coffee. Her fun-loving personality made it easy for her to make lasting friendships and she enjoyed their company.

Above anything, Star loved her family. She was a loving wife, a great mother and an amazing grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and remained close to all her siblings. To know Star was to love her and there will forever be a void in the hearts of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.
