Obituary of Rikki Leigh Taylor
Rikki Leigh Taylor was born July 10, 1983 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of three children born from the union of her parents: the late Richard Taylor and Merlin (Griffin) Mackey. Rikki received her education by attending Orchard High School.
Rikki worked as a laborer for the automotive industry where her loving personality shown through making her lots of friends at the workplace. She was a tell it like I see it kind of gal and was always honest. She was known for having a heart of gold and she always put others before herself. She loved listening to music, but most importantly she loved singing. Those that had the pleasure of hearing her sing referred to her as having a voice like an angel.
Above anything, Rikki enjoyed spending time with those she loved most including her family, friends and her two cats: Bubba and Loco. She cherished moments with her mother, sisters, nieces and nephews. Her kind heart and her ability to light up a room are just a few things that will be dearly missed by those who knew her. To know her was to love her and there will forever be a void in the hearts of her family.
Rikki Leigh Taylor, age 35 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Her passing is preceded by her father Richard Taylor; step-father Charles Mackey, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving mother: Merlin Mackey; her sisters: Amanda Taylor-Moore and Karissa Duvall; and her nieces and nephews: Michael, Maycie, Ethan, Brookelyn and Paxton. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 12:00pm until a Celebration of Her Life at 2:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 with Pastor Kevin Spencer officiating.
