We wish to offer our heartfelt condolences and sorrow for your loss. I will always recall Mr Light fondly throughout my high-school years and additional times thereafter. He tried to be stern but always would end-up with a look and a laugh, letting me know he would be watching, but be good lol. We wish Mrs. Light and the family well, and we shall wish Mr Light well on his new journey! Take Care, Ed & Steph & Family

I have so many great childhood memories of time spent at “The Light house”. Mr. and Mrs. Light ALWAYS made me feel right at home. I could always tell just how much Mr. Light loved his family and how he even cared about a kid like me who was only just visiting. It hurts to say goodbye, but I will always remember what a kind, great man he was and what a great example he was to us all.

What an indelible impression Mr. Light has left on me. He was my principal at Chapman elementary and I still, at least a few times a month, use "Mr. Lightisms" in my everyday speech. Whipper snapper, malarkey, by-crackey. I'm smiling now as I write this and I can still hear his announcements on the loud speaker in my head, always a hightlight to the morning. A standout among educators in my life without a doubt. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Light was a wonderful kindhearted human being. You could see daily at Chapman school he loved his job and loved working with the kids. I was a 'new kid' to Chapman in the 4th grade and he made my sister and I feel very welcomed at his school. My condolences to his family because as wonderful as he was to us as kids, I imagine he was even more wonderful and special to all of you.

I was privileged to serve on the credit union board with Dick. I enjoyed his wit and his friendship. Truly a great a great person he was and will be missed by many. The second person in my life that called me a "young whippersnapper" and that is as good as a compliment as they come. My you rest in peace.
